HAPPY HALLOWEEN

It has been a long couple of months but i am finally writing on my blog. Xander is donig great he is 9 1/2 Months and weighs 17 1/2 lbs and 25 in long. He is growing into such a big boy. we met with the GI doctor as well as the Neurosurgeon and found that he needs both a G-tube and a Shunt.i was a little scared to know that we have to have both things done but we knew it would have to happen sooner or later. so on Tues Oct 27 th we went into PCMC and had his G-tube placed. i cried a little but things went well. We ended up staying over night for observation and Xander did great. i was a little worried about him being under the anesthetic. but he did so awesome.

we had a wonderful time on Halloween. We went to breakfast in the morning and then went and bought a new Refrigerator. we spent the night at home passing out candy.

Xander was dressed as a ghost and i was a fairy. tony decided to go as himself.

things are going great with the addition on the house. we have an inspection on Mon and then hopefully we can work hard at getting it done. it is looking really good. i will have to post pics soon.

so far things are good and the year is almost over. before i know it Xander is going to be 1 year old. CRAZY!!!!!

It has been awhile since i posted pics of the Baby so here are some new ones. I tryed to get them to be the right way but it would not do it. Xander has been growing like a weed. He is almost 7 months and weighs probably 16 or more pounds. he is so chubby.
We have been working with the ladys from the Deaf and Blind School hoping to get Xander to comunicate somehow. He did get his hearing aides which i hope will help. things are going well and he is so much fun

This the light box that we use to help him with his eyes.

This is a little orange Yarn ball that we try to get hi to grab onto but he does not really like to.

This is a pic of one of his hearing aides. they are so little.

This is another of the light box and toys to see how well he responds to different things

He loves the swing. he could chill in that thing all day.

We have had a fun couple of months. we went to Anderson Meadows with my family for 4 days and it was so much fun. we just sat around and did nothing it was great. i was worried about Xander and whether or not he would be OK up in the mountains but he did so well. he only woke us up a couple of times. i think he was the warmest one up there. This is Tyson one of my cute little nephews. he wanted to go swimming but it was so cold.
This is Kaub my other cute nephew. he did not care that it was cold he wanted to get wet and play.

This is one of many of the squirrels that came to visit our camp. he peeked at us through the whole in the tree.

Sleeping Xander.

All bundled up. it was cold and raining for 2 days so he was bundled up in allot of clothes. but he was warm

Fun In The Sun

today was fun. we took Xander to the water park with the family. i did not have the camera so i did not get any pics but it was fun. i put his feet in the water and he hated it. i knew he would because he hates the bath tub.

Things are going great at our house. we are starting to meet eith the deaf and blind school and early intervention to help Xander. we hope he will get his hearing aides soon so that we might be able to get started on that part. everything else looks good so all we can do is enjoy him and help him grow.

we will be taking him on his first camping trip so hopefully things will be ok.

TODAY was good, TODAY was fun, Tomorrow is another one.

Xander Kenneth Blakeley
5 months

isn't he so cute. he is about 13 pounds now and probably 22 in long. he is getting so big

it has been a long couple of weeks but things are looking better. we finally got the new carpet in the basement so i can start putting things back where they belong. the foundation is done so tony can begin building soon

We took a trip up to the cabin (Xanders first time) and had so much fun. the dogs were not sure what to do because the water was so high that they could not go in very far. all in all it was a good day. it did not start to rain until we left so that was good. things are great here at our house we are just taking life a day at a time.

It has been a really long and hard week. we finally got the footings pored for the addition on our house which is great. However the guy that came and pumoed the cement hooked up his house to our house and flooded the basement. i would like to blame it on him but it was not his fault. he didn't know that it was broken. in fact neither did we. SURPRISE!!!! just what i always wanted 2 inches of water in my basement. so that started out a wonderful weekend. we had a disaster cleanup company come and dry it out but we are not sure what the final damages are. we know that the laminate flooring has to be replaced and possibly the carpet. I will fnd out tomorrow when the guy comes. we ended up spending the night at my moms on Saturday night because we did not want the chemicals they sprayed to cause any problems with Xander. Saturday night was really long because Xander did not sleep at all. he was having a bad night. we went to church with my parents and then spent the rest of the day there. we took a trip to the Cemetaries to visit and remember our Family. Monday we headed to Logan to help my sis Leslie and hubby Colby pack up there house so that they would be ready to move on fri. it was a fun but long day. it was Memorial Day so we went to the park and had dinner. we finally got home about 9:00 and we were completley exausted. Xander didn't sleep well at all last night either so it was a crappy night. come to find out the pour guy has an ear infection and that is why he is upset.

Hopefully things will get better this week. i am truly hating living in a mess so i hope we can get the basement fixed soon. Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day. I just wanted to take a second to remember my Miracle Kaison, Love you Buddy and miss you tonz. we will see you again someday. We love you with all our Hearts. love Mom, Dad & Xander

So it is the end of the month and i am finally getting around to another post.

Things are going well. Not much happens at our house. We are finally getting started on the addition to our house. thay are coming today to pour concrete. YEAH!!!!
Xander is doing well, he is about 11 lbs now and is so cute. (i will post pics soon)
we did find out that he has some hearing but it is very little. we will be fitting him for a hearing aide soon to see if that might help. if not then we will have to look into a cochlear implant. things are looking more positive as he gets bigger and stronger. so far so good right! he is f 4 moths now and is so cute.
hope everyone has a good holiday weekend.
Have a good Memorial Day.

We went to the doctor yesterday hoping to get good news about Xander's eyes and head and instead it was the opposite. We knew that Xander had cataracts on his eyes but we did not even stop to think that it could be much worse. The doctor informed us that he has detached retinas and glaucoma. They are not even sure that he is getting any light in at all. The next step would be to do a test to see if the light is getting in but Tony and i have decided to wait a bit and discuss our options a little more. We are not sure if we want to put Xander through surgery's that most likely will not help. We also went to the Neuroscience's at the University and the nice doctor came in and told us that she was the wrong person to talk to and that we would need to see a Neurosurgeon. She was very kind and helpful even though she couldn't tell us much more than we already knew. With all that info i am extremely overloaded and not sure what to do. i know that i will be able to handle the situation if need be, but i am a little scared if he is going to be Deaf and Blind. I am hoping we can resolve the issue with his hearing and that we might be able to restore some normalcy. For the time being we are going to just love him as we have been and treat him as if there is nothing wrong.
Things will turn out the way they need to and Tony and i will be able to handle it accordingly

Today was a good day. I went to the doctor and he said that the baby is now 6 pounds. he is looking really good and is expected to be here by the 26th. i am a little nervous but really excited. i have not slept well lately so i must be preparing for the baby to be here. Tony is really excited (i think). he does not really say it out loud so if you want to know you will have to ask him.
We know everything is going to be ok.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!!

It has been a couple of weeks and i have been a little busy but here i am with an update.

Christmas was great and i am sorry to see it end. We had the whole family together this year and so it seemed a little crazy. In my family there are 12 adults and 2 kids which makes for a lot of caos. In tonys family there is just 6 adults and 2 kids and they are a lot quieter than my Fam. All in all it was a great holiday.

My Birthday was on Sunday and i turned another year older surprise, surprise!

I am getting bigger by the second and i am extremly tired. The doctor said i am at 36 weeks and that the baby weighs 5 1/2 lbs. AWESOME!!!!! i could technically deliver any time and be ok but we are shooting for at least another 2 weeks. I am a little anxious but everything seems to be ok and we are hoping and praying for the best.

I hope everyone had a great holiday and are excited for the new year.

My Best to you all-
