So as i have said before i am really bad at updating my blog. I guess its better late than never.
Last time i wrote it was almost Xanders B-Day so i will start there.

THE BIG ONE
Xander turned 1 year old on Jan 21st 2010.
We invited the family and a few friends over for cake and icecream and had a little party for Xanders B-day. it was a lot of fun. he got so many cool things and some really cute clothes. He also got some money for his new carseat which is on order right now. he grew to be a little to big for his so we spent some time finding the right one. I know he didnt have a clue what went on but i enjoyed it. Thanks Everyone For Coming Over.

I wanted his cake to be really cool for his birthday so I decided to be alittle creative. I had seen this style of cake at my friends girls B-day and i loved it so i got the directions on how to construct it and made it my own. It took me about 4 hours to make and decorate and i am not sure i will do this cake again. it was fun though and i learned a few things so i would be easier next time. the frosting was the best though. i turned my mouth blue and tasted so good. (thanks Dairy Queen) I am by all means not a cake decorater but if i do say so it looks AWESOME!!!!!

One of the things Nama gave him for his b-day was one of those cart covers for the shopping carts. ( we forgot it this day but it is in the car now for future use.)He is a little squished but he was really calm.

We all went to support lilly at a Cheerleading Competition and enjoyed watching them kick some major butt. Xaander of course did not like the cheering and screming. he cried everytime we started to yell. GO ROY HIGH!!!!!!

Life has been really good and we just keeping moving day by day. The house is almost done and i can't wait. I will try harder to post more often and keep you all informed on how we are doing.

FUN FUN FUN

So today i got to babysit my nephew Tyson and we had lots of fun. he came over at 8:00 and i was still geting ready. so while i finished i put on some music from little einsteins and he started singing along. then we had breakfast and went to the store. i had to go to the kitchen store so i packed both kids in the car and away we went. we got to kitchen kneads and he started saying bye bye (so i thought) nope he was singing shew fly dont bother me. i started laughing. then we went to michaels and when we were checking out he started singing agian. the lady started to laugh and i told her he learned a new song and we had to praqctice so his mommy culd hear it later. somewhere amongest all this he also learned the word Hippopotamus. so funny. so i had a good day teaching him a new song. Hopefully Brad and Heidi dont get sick of it. haha

I feel so lazy. i have not updated my blog for over 2 months. I hope i can remember all that has happened.

NOVEMBER:
Our holiday season did not start out so well. As i mentioned in my last post Xander had surgery for his G-tube. The surgry its self was not bad but i was a nervous wreck. This was just a start for him. He recovered well from it and it is working great.(sorry for the sideways pics not sure how that happened)
We got the cement poured for the driveway and the dogs thought they would help. Good thing they were not done yet. Tony almost came home to a couple injured dogs. i wanted to beat them so bad.
Tony decided that he wanted a blanket. not just any blanket a Patriots blanket. and he wanted it to be so big that he can wrap himself in it 3 times. it is huge!!! needless to say i have not finished it yet. Maybe i will work on it soon. (NOT) hehehehe

Xanders drama continues with his Shunt surgery. He had his shunt placed the week before Thanksgiving. This surgery went pretty well. i got a little nervous when no one came to tell me how it went. i was in the waiting room for almost two hours before i heard anything. the surgery only lasted about 20 min. so i was just a little out of my mind. He is doing well since having the Shunt placed and he seems to be more alert.
DECEMBER:
Work on the house continues. We had the drywall done and it looks so good. They did an awesome job. (thanks Boyd and his company for helping us out)
Tony decided that he was going to add to my stress and hurt himself. He called from work to tell me he was on his way to the hospital and he did not know if it was sprained or broken. i was ok at first until i hung up and then started freaking out. i tried calling him back but he would not answer his phone. i was praying that he had hurt himself while he was on the clock because he was headed to Davis Hospital and our insurance does not covr there. if he had gone to any other hospital our insurance would cover it in full because we had reached our out of pocket. good thing it was on the clock. but he does not even have acool story. he hurt himself at gym time (which he gets paid for) while playing Volleyball. Thank goodness it was just a sprain.
I decided to see if Xander liked the lights on the tree and he fell asleep. he dos that a lot.

We have made a new tradition in our family to make Turtles at Christmas. so Heidi got her granmas receipe and taught us how. They were so good. Tony ended up eating most of them because he got to them before me.

If 2 surgerys were not enough we ended up at PCMC agin right before Christmas. I had noticed that Xanders Shunt was looking really big and puffy and it was starting to worry me so we took him to Primarys to see his doctor. While they were doing his CT scans, etc. they found excess air outside of his belly that should not be there. Turns out everything was ok with his Shunt but we had to stay overnight for more tests. they did more tests and checked to see if there was a leak anywhere but did not see anything. Xander was released on Christmas Eve and went home on an 8 day regimen of antibiotics. so far everythng seems to be going great.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO XANDER

JANUARY:

The house is still in the works. we got the siding and garage door done. now we are getting things ready to paint and do finish work. i can't wait until it is done

Last but not least i just got home from St. George with the girls. I had a lot of fun but it was really hard to leave the baby. i have never left him so i think it was extra hard. my family probably thought i didn't have fun but i did. Happy B-day Mom

All in all things have been great. we had a wonderful holiday and anjoyed the food. now back to the gym i go. life is good and there is still more to come. hope everyone else had a good holiday as well. love you all
So i think i am up to date with it all. if not then hopefully i will remember to write next week.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

It has been a long couple of months but i am finally writing on my blog. Xander is donig great he is 9 1/2 Months and weighs 17 1/2 lbs and 25 in long. He is growing into such a big boy. we met with the GI doctor as well as the Neurosurgeon and found that he needs both a G-tube and a Shunt.i was a little scared to know that we have to have both things done but we knew it would have to happen sooner or later. so on Tues Oct 27 th we went into PCMC and had his G-tube placed. i cried a little but things went well. We ended up staying over night for observation and Xander did great. i was a little worried about him being under the anesthetic. but he did so awesome.

we had a wonderful time on Halloween. We went to breakfast in the morning and then went and bought a new Refrigerator. we spent the night at home passing out candy.

Xander was dressed as a ghost and i was a fairy. tony decided to go as himself.

things are going great with the addition on the house. we have an inspection on Mon and then hopefully we can work hard at getting it done. it is looking really good. i will have to post pics soon.

so far things are good and the year is almost over. before i know it Xander is going to be 1 year old. CRAZY!!!!!

It has been awhile since i posted pics of the Baby so here are some new ones. I tryed to get them to be the right way but it would not do it. Xander has been growing like a weed. He is almost 7 months and weighs probably 16 or more pounds. he is so chubby.
We have been working with the ladys from the Deaf and Blind School hoping to get Xander to comunicate somehow. He did get his hearing aides which i hope will help. things are going well and he is so much fun

This the light box that we use to help him with his eyes.

This is a little orange Yarn ball that we try to get hi to grab onto but he does not really like to.

This is a pic of one of his hearing aides. they are so little.

This is another of the light box and toys to see how well he responds to different things

He loves the swing. he could chill in that thing all day.
